This month looks to be an exciting month in Bristol for all guests. There is the encounters film festival which kicks off on Wednesday the 16th of November and runs through to Saturday the 19th of November. It looks to be an exciting event that has returned every year due to huge demand even though it was only meant to be a once off event. Also this month is Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. Jools Holland is the king of Boogie – Woogie and has launched his hugely anticipated autumn/winter tour of 2011 alongside special guest Chris Difford. As Bristol is home to one of the best comedians in the world, Lee Evans. Its no surprise that there is some amazing comedy clubs available to frequent such as the “Comedy Box” that is hosting some fantastic shows this month. Also towards the Start of December there will be Hundreds of Santa’s coming to town! There is also so much on to keep the kids happy and out of your ear and with events like ice skating, bowling, wildlife parks, a visit to the circus, mountain-biking to name but a few…you might actually get to like having the kids for the day. On December 4th, watch as hundreds of Santa’s flock to the streets to provide sponsorship and much needed aid to The Children’s Hospice South West. This is a fun activity for all the family and all proceeds go towards a good cause.
The regions latest and greatest food festival, The Manchester Food And Drink festival is back again this year to wow the people of Manchester with the fresh aroma and taste of the finest cuisine to be found in the Greater Manchester Area, and Premier Apartments Manchester is ready to welcome it with open arms. In Liverpool this weekend we have the British Musical Firework Championships, an outstanding display that can be enjoyed by all ages. Watch in dismay as seven competitors battle it out to be crowned winner of the 2011 British Musical Firework Championships. Each challenger will have to choreograph there show to the rhythm of music. Each display last 20 minutes and will bring you the best firework show that you will have seen to make sure they are crowned champions!

ABSOLUT Fringe is Ireland’s largest multi-disciplinary arts festival. That is now in its seventeenth consecutive year running. The festival will stage 650 events in over 40 venues, with about 150,000 people having at least one Fringe experience during the festival. The Festival will run for sixteen days and will transform Dublin into a ‘dream factory’, an exhibition of brilliant creative talent from around the globe and Ireland. It is a platform for the greatest emerging, new Irish arts companies and a showcase for the best contemporary theater and dance shows that are touring internationally. For artists, Fringe provides an opportunity to innovate, to cross boundaries and to find new ways and locations to create art.

Ever heard of a video game festival? Well we Have and there will be one in Nottingham in the coming weeks, The Game City Expo. To simplify, it will be a three day expo of everything Video games. It is a celebration of games culture and will showcase some of the blockbuster games that are on the way to shops near you soon! Microsoft, EA, Atari and many more over the years have contributed to this exhibition over the years. Oh and did we mention that since it began in 2006 they have broken two world records?
If your around Birmingham and have some spare time why not check out the “Home of Metal” ? A celebration of Heavy Metal music which famously originated in Birmingham. The Home of Metal aims to bring people together to share their passion and explore themes of Heavy Metal through exhibitions, film screenings, live events, a conference and family friendly activities. They are also collecting photographs for an online gallery. Make sure to submit any rocktastic photos you have!
We’re still not sure where to spend the coming August bank holiday weekend. With so much happening around the country it’s so tough to decide which Premier Apartments to visit.
My son is really into motorbikes and since he heard about the Customizing, Culture and Harley – Davidson exhibition in Manchester he’s been desperate for us to visit. which aims to highlight a magnificent display of historic Harley Davidson Motorcycles. The exhibition includes Harley Davidson motor cycles from each decade of the previous 100 years as well as many others included in the line up. Also included will be unique creations from many of the worlds top international customisers. Since Premier Apartments Manchester General Manager Lesell mentioned Stand Up Sunday at the Comedy Store I’ve been looking for an excuse to return to the city. The world famous venue and has helped launched the career of many top class comedians and I love the idea of seeing fresh talent and up and coming names.
I had hoped to visit Liverpool where the Overtures are playing a spectacular tribute act in honour of the most famous group in the world but Premier Apartments are already booked! The Overtures have been regarded as the best in their league at playing 60s music and I reckon they are one of, if not the best tribute act in the country! They have played private parties for both Sir Paul and Sir Elton (at his wedding!). They beautifully recreate the sounds of the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Kinks, The Byrds, The Who and many more. Also in Liverpool, Fun Loving Criminals will be headlining The Free Music Festival, joined by the likes of Lemar, Encore and X-Factor stars such as Rachel Adeedeji , Daniel DeBourg and Laura White. The free studded music festival should be great for all the family. Fun Loving Criminals will be taking the stage immediately after their performance at V Festival alongside such acts as Eminem, Rihanna and Arctic Monkeys. If you’re lucky enough to be going hope you have a great time.
There are just a few remaining apartments with some great Birmingham special offers available. I know my daughter is desperate to visit The Smith & Pepper jewellery-manufacturing firm which recently became a museum telling the story of the Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham’s renowned metalworking heritage. As part of the exhibition there will be a great deal of live demonstrations of traditional jewellery-making skills so as visitors can get first-hand experience of what it was like to work in a noisy and busy workshop back in the day!
